I'd put this at a 3.5 for overall experience, but North Indian food was a 4/5 for sure. Kennedy's feels like a fever dream - an Irish Pub as you enter, giant wooden Indian restaurant/cafeteria vibe in the middle (little nods to the type of decor/paintings you'd find in your favorite aunty's house), darts and arcade game rooms all around (a dungeons and dragons game night was happening in one of the rooms on a Wednesday), a telenovela playing on the upper walls, and music ranging from frat music to 2000s pop (you can add to the queue). I was pleasantly confused the whole time. Thankfully the interior fit our party of 20 quite comfortably. It took about 30-40 minutes for food to arrive once we ordered, but it was hot and surprisingly good. My group got the Samosas, Garlic Naan, Paneer Makhani, and Bhaingan Bharta. The Samosas were a bit - well filled, nicely spiced, good pastry thickness, and nicely fried. The garlic naan was more of a chip than a fluffy naan, but it actually worked well with the dishes. The Paneer gravy was really yummy - savory, sweet, lots of garlic. The Bharta was the STAR - so savory and smoky (the aftertaste was slightly like the smell of black camphor, which kinda hot). Our group polished it off. Other stars from around the table included the Chicken Tikka and Dani Chaat. Food was def a 4/5, with bharta being a 5. It's definitely a no frills local pub vibe (do not expect traditional restaurant service, which is fine by me), so take that as you will. I wouldn't go for the South Indian food here or the chaat items (high risk high reward), but North Indian food did indeed hit the spot and my gut . Still obsessed with the existence of this place and hope it thrives!

This place is awesome! It's an Indian restaurant and an Irish pub all in one, and it's perfect for hanging out with friends. The waiters and barmaids are super cool, and the food is amazing--both North and South Indian dishes that are absolutely delicious. It's such a unique spot, and I always have a great time here. Highly recommend!

Had a party there today for 30+ people in the back patio. Food was fantastic, service was fantastic. Krishna was amazing. It's an old Irish pub and an Indian restaurant joined. Not posh, but so much fun with game rooms for adults or kids as well. Pool tables and darts. Must try the samosas and the curry sauce and Chala masala and his chai is the best I've ever had. Thanks for a great party venue!

We were attending a show across the street and needed a spot for pre-show drinks, and thankfully this place wasn't cash only. If you like dive bars, this one fits the bill. No frills, just beer, wine and seltzers. We love our topo chicos and this is one of the few places that had the strawberry guava in a glass bottle still which is the best. ( I guess there's a glass shortage so they are harder to find). The best part, it was one of the most affordable drinks we've gotten in the city. We saved a lot of money compared to buying drinks at the concert. The space itself is huge and can accommodate big groups. They also offer Indian food, which looked really good. Definitely a low key spot to check out in the North Beach area, that provides great value.
